Conference “Towards regenerative tourism: rethinking the present, building the future”

Rethinking the present, building the future

On November 14 , Aethnic is organizing the conference “Towards regenerative tourism: rethinking the present, building the future” in Ca l’Alier (Barcelona) , a meeting to reflect on how to move towards a more fair, resilient and life-rooted tourism model .

Tourism in Barcelona and Catalonia is experiencing a key moment of review and transformation . The dynamics of massification, job insecurity and the need for real sustainability force us to collectively rethink the current model. This conference aims to be a space for dialogue and inspiration to explore how tourism can contribute positively to the territory, communities and the environment.

Two tables to move towards a regenerative model

The meeting will feature an opening conference and two round tables :

  • the first, focused on the challenges and tensions of the current tourism model,

  • and the second, in initiatives and experiences that are already paving the way towards regenerative tourism.

Representatives of public administrations, social entities and innovative projects linked to the territory will participate.

An invitation to rethink the future of tourism

With this conference, Aethnic wants to encourage collective reflection and share practical learning on how to regenerate relationships between people, environments and economies.
