Itinària is a project that was born with the desire to strengthen rural tourism through the social and solidarity economy, applied training and territorial roots. The project aims to facilitate quality professional transitions and generate new employment opportunities in rural environments, putting people, the territory and social impact at the center.
Itinària wants to respond to the current challenges of rural tourism: job insecurity, the lack of training adapted to the reality of the territory, the difficulty of retaining talent and the need for fairer, sustainable and resilient economic models.
The project arises from Turiscoop’s accumulated experience in the field of responsible tourism, working with local actors and developing projects with social and environmental impact. Over the past few years, we have identified a lack of specific training offer that connects responsible tourism with the social economy, sustainability and quality employment.
At the same time, the needs analysis carried out with people, organizations and institutions in the territory has highlighted a clear demand for practical, flexible and employability-oriented training, especially for young people, women, people in professional transition, unemployed people and groups linked to the social economy.
Itinària was born, therefore, as a response to this shared need, with a territorial and collaborative perspective.
Promote quality employment in rural tourism through applied training, the social economy and territorial roots, contributing to a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable tourism model.
Facilitate professional transitions towards responsible and regenerative tourism and the social economy.
Improve the professional skills and employability of people in rural environments.
Provide support to organizations, cooperatives and integration companies in the training of their teams.
Connecting training, employment and territory, adapting the content to the real needs of the sector.
Promote tourism models with positive social, environmental and community impact.
Through Itinaria it is planned to:
Improving the employability and professional skills of people who live in rural environments and develop economic activities linked to responsible tourism.
The training of teams from organizations, cooperatives and integration companies in the sector.
The generation of more stable and quality job opportunities in rural environments.
The strengthening of the Social and Solidarity Economy ecosystem linked to tourism.
Ultimately, Itinària aims to contribute to improving the professional skills of people in rural environments, facilitating access to the tourism sector and its value chain with knowledge, tools and values aligned with the social economy and territorial development.
