Aethnic culminates the “Accessible Tourism” project with the publication of the guide Accessible Tourism in Poblenou; an innovative, inclusive and responsible guide that invites all people, regardless of their physical, cognitive, sensory and communication abilities to enjoy the Poblenou neighborhood with complete autonomy, comfort and safety.
This document collects a total of 27 points of tourist interest that have been audited and validated through visits made by the Aethnic team, the members of the CTO Aspace Poblenou , and the students of the Translation and Interpretation Degree of the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). All the points presented in it present detailed information about its general characteristics and, in addition, distinguish some of the key elements that could contribute to meeting the needs of people with functional diversity.
The Guide is divided into 5 chapters : “The neighborhood of Poblenou”; “Accessible Mobility”; “Emblem spaces”, “Museums and Exhibitions”; and “Hotels”, and is designed in such a way that all people can access its contents without barriers or limitations .
The value proposition of the guide is very clear: “it is not enough to communicate whether a space is accessible or not ; it is necessary to explain WHAT is accessible, for WHO it is accessible and HOW we can make good use of it” .
Are you ready to discover it? Access the Poblenou Accessible Tourism Guide and enjoy the barrier-free neighborhood!
