A first contact with the diversity of ethnicities and communities of Gambia and southern Senegal, two West African countries that will allow us to discover and live with local traditions and lifestyles. In the village of Thionk Essyl the Diatta family will welcome us with a typical meal of the region and good Senegalese tea.
Palm trees and rice paddies mingle among the tropical vegetation of this region with a cool atmosphere and intense colors. We will sail between the mangroves of the tributaries of the Casamance river , where we will visit different islands, such as Nioumone , Egueye and Karabane. We will listen to traditional Senegalese music by the well-known local artist Jean Philip with his traditional guitar Ekonting. We will visit the town d’Oussouye and the surrounding animist towns, and also the city of Ziguinchor , capital of the Casamance where we will pass through the craft market, and end our trip with a walk along the beach of Abené and Kafountine .
Contact with local people and cultural exchange will be the axes that will guide the trip and offer an experience characterized by a commitment to responsible tourism and the authenticity of the experiences lived.
